Am I suitable for a Nano Fat Graft?
As we age, skin quality declines as pores become enlarged and skin texture becomes less smooth. There are a number of aesthetic treatments that aim to improve skin quality by resurfacing the skin or stimulating collagen production. One treatment that is becoming increasingly popular is the Nano Fat Graft that smooths and plumps the skin in a unique and innovative way.
How do you make Nano Fat?
Nano fat is made by harvesting fat using liposuction and then preparing it using filtering techniques. At the end if this process the fat particles have been reduced in size dramatically and the fat takes on a pale yellow liquid appearance. It is then injected into the skin using a very fine needle so that it sits within the skin itself (rather than below it which is the case with most traditional fillers.
How does it Nano fat work?
Nano fat is used for correction of very fine wrinkles and a for its direct rejuvenation properties – although the exact mechanism of action is unclear it is thought to work by the action of stem cells and growth factors up-regulating collagen and elastin production.
Where do you use Nano fat?
Nano fat is used at different levels in the skin to achieve different results. When injected just below the surface of the skin (into the superficial dermis) it can be used to fill out wrinkles, injected a little bit deeper into the skin (dermis) it is used to help rectify the effects of sun damage and subdermal injection (just below the skin) it can be used for the correction of skin discoloration (for example darkening of the skin of the lower eyelid). Nano fat can be used for fine wrinkle and skin rejuvenation in all areas exposed to the sun but works particularly well in the face and décolletage areas.
What are the advantages of a Nano Fat Graft to alternative aesthetic treatments?
Many aesthetic treatments aimed at improving skin quality work by causing a trauma to the skin to stimulate collagen growth. Results can be very unpredictable and vary from patient to patient. A Nano Fat Graft, however, works by restoring the smoothness and plumpness we associate with youthful skin. The fat that is transferred is naturally rich in stem cells which rejuvenates the skin.
What results can I expect from a Nano Fat Graft?
A Nano Fat Graft can produce a very natural, beautiful result which will typically last many years. Results can be visible immediately but will also continue to improve over time.
Are there any potential risks to a Nano Fat Graft procedure?
After your Nano Fat Graft procedure, there will be a little bruising and redness where it was injected but this should disappear quickly. As only small amounts of fat are harvested, there should be minimal risks but infection or an accumulation of blood and fluid in the donor area are potential complications. As the graft is composed of the patient’s own fat, then there is no risk of reaction as sometimes happens with other injectables, such as Botox or hyaluronic acid dermal fillers.
What does a Nano Fat Graft treatment involve?
This is a very refined version of the fat transfer technique, harvesting small amounts of fat cells and gently purifying it until the particles of fat are separated. This is then emulsified to produce a fine solution that can be injected in many tiny deposits to produce an overall smoother and more revitalised complexion.

Fat transfer is increasingly popular as a method to enhance and restore volume to the body or the face, but we can also use your own tissue to greatly improve skin tone and texture. A Nano Fat Graft purifies fat cells taken from another area of the body to rejuvenate the face.
